Public forums with war veterans
from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro
Pubic forums where speakers are ex-combatants from the region of former Yugoslavia; from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro. They talk about their own reasons and motivations why they participated in war, and about their views of the future and possible ways of overcoming warring past which burdens relationships between people from "different sides", with different nationality.
The aim of this action is finding space for the stories of "common" people to be heard, who do not present nations to whom they belong, but present own selves. They draw their motivation for present peace work exactly from their warring past, taking their part of responsibility for the past, instead of usual pointing out what "the others" are guilty for. |
